Special Events

Throughout the year we hold many events outside of our regular monthly meetings. These events are intended to provide fellowship and fund raising opportunities for the Chapter. It is the job of the Special Events committee to organize and publicize these activities. If you have any ideas for events you would like to see us organize this year, or if you would like to help out with planning for these activities, please contact Jay Sullivan at jay.sullivan@mail.ashrae.org.

Golf

We hold two tournaments each year, one in October and the other in April. The proceeds from each tournament go directly to ASHRAE Research Promotion, so come out and have fun for a good cause.

Fall:

Our Fall tournament was a successful one, thank you to everyone who participated!

Spring:

Fort Worth ASHRAE’s Spring Tournament will be held at Riverside Golf Club on April 5th with a 1:00 P.M. shotgun start. You can get more information and the sign up flyer here.

Winter Party/Casino Night

We will be holding our annual Winter Party in January again this year, time and place to be announced as soon as we know it. New for this year – we will be holding a fundraiser casino night.Dice

Spring Social (Past President’s Night)

Our annual year-end celebration to honor our Past Chapter Presidents and to install new officers will take place in June. We moved it to Joe T. Garcia’s this past year, and so far this seems like the best place to continue the tradition.Joe T. Garcia's

Technical Seminars/Workshops

The Fort Worth and Dallas Chapters of ASHRAE teamed up to host a Standard 90.1 seminar at UTA in early August. This seminar is to be given by Texas A&M’s Energy Systems Laboratory (ESL). It will discuss many of the changes in the 2007 release of 90.1. Click here for a flyer for the event.

Webcasts

Society produces webcast presentations on a myriad of topics throughout the year. Our Chapter will host a centralized venue to view each of these webcasts throughout the year. Stay tuned for further information as each program is announced.

Sporting Clays

This year, ASHRAE Fort Worth is teaming up with the Dallas Chapter of ASHRAE and DFW Chapter of ASPE for a sporting clays tournament benefiting ASHRAE Research. This year’s tournament will be held at Elm Fort Shotgun Sports in Dallas. Here is the flyer.
